The Solidarity Union has been extensively quoted in a newspaper which exposes the many failings of millionaire Socialist and Labour MP, Margaret Hodge. Solidarity is also given a free advert - Adam is a Director of the publishing company which helps! Our President Adam Walker has certainly not pulled his punches when interviewed by the Barking and Dagenham Sentinel. Hodge is fight for her political life and could well lose.
Please take the time to read this fantastic newspaper exposing the vile Margaret Hodge, MP. I say MP but hopefully after Thursday that wil be ex-MP. 50,000 of the printed edition of this newspaper are going out in Barking and Dagenham. It will certainly make people think there. Many former Labour supporters from the anti-racist Left cannot bring themselves to hold their noses and vote for this vile woman. Instead they are voting Green. Hodge is also losing traditional supporters votes to the Christian Party. It is likely to be a close fight. Hodge fears the British National Party may take the seat.

To my mind it raised legitimate questions mainly about the record of Labour MP, Margaret ‘Loads of Money’ Hodge (and to a lesser extent, Jon ‘Two Homes’ Cruddas).
For some reason, the establishment maintained a complete blackout of the facts contained in the Sentinel. Why?
The quotes from Solidarity President Adam Walker (in the Sentinel) are spot on. How dare Hodge ignore the advice of social workers. After all, they’re front-line health care experts. Their concerns should have been listened to – and acted upon.
So much for the vulnerable and needy being safe in Labour hands!
My only regret is that my fellow Cockneys didn’t give Hodge and Cruddas the boot! Maybe next time?
a) Something really stinks about the establishment media’s news blackout. If the Barking & Dagenham Sentinel had focussed on any other candidate - Tory, Labour or Lib Dem – in any other constituency, the media would have gone into meltdown. They would have seen to it that the politician in question was hung, drawn and quartered. Normally, the media would have repeated what the Sentinel had to say until the cows came home! However, because of the special nature of the Barking vote, the news about Hodge was covered up.
b) The link up (during the whole of the election – but especially in Barking) between the Daily Mirror, the (misnamed) Hope not Hate group and Searchlight magazine was very interesting. The Mirror is a capitalist concern. Hope not Hate is a front-group for Searchlight magazine. And many political activists (from across right across the political spectrum) believe that Searchlight is some form of State ‘honey trap’.
Yet this Mirror/HnH/Searchlight grouping managed to mobilise hundreds of leftists to support a super-capitalis t candidate! The ‘left’ are supposed to be for the workers. Yet they supported a candidate who ignored workers (the front-line health care experts in Islington), who voted for the illegal war in Iraq and is opposed to civil liberties! How hypocritical can you get?
c) I enjoyed reading about Hodge’s business interests. Would Solidarity Trade Union know anything else about how she amassed her fortune? (In fact, it might be an idea to write about the many business interests of our MPs. I’m sure that it would be most illuminating!)
By the way, the latest on Hodge is that she’s been accused of electoral fraud by UKIP. Have a look at this link: http://margarethodge.net/2010/05/08/did-hodge-break -electoral-law/
